Taking place from 20 to 29 September 2026, the festival combines live artistic creation, cultural exchange, immersive experiences, and a grand exhibition showcasing works inspired by one of the world's most captivating destinations. Supported by the Red Sea Governorate under the patronage of H.E. Major General Dr. Walid El Barki, Governor of the Red Sea, the festival brings together artists from around the world to celebrate creativity, culture, and tourism on Egypt's Red Sea coast.
An International Celebration of Art
Art by the Red Sea welcomes artists from different countries, artistic backgrounds, and creative disciplines, creating a platform where cultures connect through a shared passion for art.
Throughout the festival, visitors will have the chance to meet participating artists, learn about their creative journeys, and watch their ideas transform into finished works. The event celebrates diversity, collaboration, and artistic expression while encouraging meaningful cultural exchange.
Live Workshops Under the Open Sky
At the heart of the festival are the live workshops taking place each evening from 22 to 26 September.
The open-air setting allows guests to experience the creative process firsthand as artists work on paintings, sculptures, and wood-carving projects inspired by their surroundings. Rather than viewing finished pieces in a gallery, visitors can witness every stage of creation, from the first sketch to the final details.
These workshops offer a rare opportunity to engage with artists, gain insight into their techniques, and experience art in a dynamic and interactive environment.
Inspiration Beyond the Canvas
Art by the Red Sea extends far beyond the workshop space. Throughout the festival, participating artists will explore some of Egypt's most remarkable destinations, drawing inspiration from both nature and history.
A full-day yacht excursion to one of the Red Sea islands combines live painting, photography, snorkeling, and breathtaking scenery, offering artists a unique perspective on the landscapes that surround them.
The cultural journey continues with a visit to Luxor, where participants will explore iconic landmarks including Karnak Temple and the Valley of the Kings. These experiences provide artists with a deeper connection to Egypt's heritage while enriching the stories reflected in their work.
Encouraging Creativity for the Next Generation
One of the festival's most engaging moments is Children's Art Day, where young guests are invited to participate in an interactive workshop alongside international artists.
Held on the beach, this experience encourages creativity, imagination, and self-expression while introducing children to different artistic styles and perspectives. It creates memorable opportunities for learning and cultural exchange in a fun and inspiring setting.

The festival reaches its finale on 27 September with the International Art Exhibition and Closing Ceremony, held in celebration of World Tourism Day.
This special evening will bring together artists, distinguished guests, media representatives, tourism leaders, and cultural figures to unveil the completed collection of artworks created throughout the festival.
The closing ceremony will be attended by H.E. Major General Dr. Walid El Barki, Governor of the Red Sea, alongside Mr. Hossam El Shaer, Chairman of SUNRISE Resorts & Cruises, highlighting the festival's role in supporting cultural tourism and showcasing the Red Sea as a destination for creativity and international collaboration.
Guests will have the opportunity to explore the full exhibition, featuring all paintings, sculptures, and artistic works produced during the festival, while enjoying live performances and celebratory activities marking the conclusion of this unique cultural event.
